Mail Services Can Put Your Addresses on Paper
Mail
Services high-speed inkjet printer is our most
cost-effective method for addressing your mailings.
It's the final step of Mail Services' automated
workflow, which begins with your file
upload.
After handling all the processes necessary to
obtain the best possible postage discounts through
postal
automation, we spray the addresses and
complete delivery point barcodes directly on
each mail piece.
You Can Inkjet More Than Addresses
Our
inkjet machine has two print heads that can
be moved to any part of the mail piece. This
means that we can print an indicia, a return
address, or service endorsements while we are
running your address database. It also gives
you the flexibility to add graphics or special
messages and is available in several standard
colors. Think Big With Inkjetting
The
maximum size of a mail piece that can be inkjetted
is 17" in length by 16.5" in width
by 1" thick.
Tabbing
According
to USPS regulations, folded letter-size mail pieces
and most self-mailers (pieces not in envelopes)
prepared to meet automation standards must be secured
(tabbed) to prevent an open edge from jamming high-speed
processing equipment (for regulations and placement
of tabs and wafer seals, see USPS
Quick Service Guide 201b). Tabs can
be placed on self-mailers while the address
database is being printed.
Self-Adhesive Labels
Self-adhesive
labels can be applied using a labeler or by hand.
These options are slower and less cost-effective
than using a high-speed inkjet printer, but allow
us to complete your project when mailpieces
have a protective varnish coating or addresses
are not available in a data format.
