Microsoft Word & Excel Files Require Special Attention
It is critical to provide a hard copy of your document along with your file when you use Microsoft Word or Excel. Word is a word processing program, not a page layout program. Excel is a spreadsheet program, again, not a page layout program.

Files prepared in Microsoft Word or Excel can be used to print simple documents. However, the appearance of a your file can change depending on the computer on which it is opened. Type can reflow and fonts can change.

When you supply us with a Word or Excel file to have printed, fax a copy of your document WITH your Custom Printing Order Form so we know exactly how you expect your finished document to look.

Publisher files can cause spot color problems
Publisher files WILL work when printing CMYK jobs. However, Publisher cannot correctly color separate SPOT (Pantone) colors. Contact Amy Wall at (734) 647-3062 for color instructions.

Use the "pack and go" feature of Publisher to collect all the images & fonts associated with your document. Publisher will put everything into one folder, which can then be uploaded to our FTP site or burned to a CD.
