We have the Perfect Paper and Binding to Complement Your Project

Paper
In digital printing, paper has a significant impact on finished image quality. It’s important to explain the quality expectations you have for the your finished document and how it will be used. Customer Service Representatives can recommend appropriate papers for your consideration. The Copy Centers stock many papers and can order hundreds more.

Even white paper comes in many different shades and finishes. Your choice of paper affects how your document looks, feels, and communicates.

Paper finishes range from very smooth to heavily textured. The smoother the surface of the paper, the more color digital printing seems to “pop” off the page.

Brightness describes the light-reflecting property of paper. It affects the legibility and contrast of printing.

Opacity is the quality that minimizes the "show-through" of printing from the other side of the sheet or from an adjacent sheet. Opacity desn't always relate directly to thickness or weight—a thinner paper may be more opaque than a thicker one if opacifying thickeners have been used.

Weight is an indicator of the thickness of each individual sheet of paper. The weight can have an affect on the amount of show-through from other printing, on the feel and durability of your document, and on postage cost.

Grain describes the direction that fibers aligned during manufacturing. When paper is folded against the grain, it will split and crack over the fold.

Still have questions? Don't worry, our Customer Service Representatives have the answers!
